3 trails provided just for downhill freaks!
Fun and action is guaranteed at the Gaisberg and on the Fleckalm: Get the cable car up – bike transportation is included in the lift ticket and cycle down.
The Lisi Osl Trail - at the Gaisberg, named after Lisi Osl, one of the best mountainbikers in the area. A demanding downhill trail that provides pure mountain bike feeling.
The Gaisberg Trail – with magnificent views is ideal for ambitious beginners to advanced mountain bikers.
The Fleckalm Trail is a challenging course of the top of the Fleckalm-cable car and offers great fun and adrenalin getting down to Kirchberg. With a length of 7.5 km and 1,100 meters above sea, it is the longest trail in Tyrol. The trail follows old wooden hiking path and is frequented by the best mountain bikers.
Currently there are plans to fix another downhill trail on the Hahnenkamm in Kitzbühel. News to be followed.
Events for Cyclists
“Österreich Radrundfahrt” – the Tour of Austria finishing on top of the Kitzbühel Horn – watch the best cyclist climbing up the Kitzbühel Horn in about 35 minutes.
Try to top that time yourself with the Krone Hit amateur race starting in the morning
Tristkogel challenge – a combination of mountain-biking – running and orientation. Starting in teams of two,
“Horn Radrennen” – bike race up the Kitzbühel Horn organized by the Kitzbühel Sports club – date around end of July
Mountain-bike race up the Hahnenkamm on 15th of August – 9,20 km – 900 m of altitude, hundreds of mountain bikers and amateur cyclists try to beat the best time of around 35 minutes.
